![]() The weekend gets started on Thursday, April 7, with the Legends Ball. Scheduled entertainers include Robbie Elias, Zehn, Dan Slater, and more. They’ve been together for nearly 30 years. “We’re humbled to be included in the 400+ Years of Love exhibit.” “We’re grateful to Miami Beach Pride for recognizing and honoring long-term LGBTQ+ couples,” they said. One of those couples is Gregg Shapiro and Rick Karlin. One of the most anticipated floats will carry “Legacy Couples.” Those are LGBT couples that have been together for at least a decade. The parade will be broadcast by Happening Out Television Network. Afterward the festival will continue at Lummus Park (the Pride Festival at Lummus Park is also happening on Saturday). Floats, drag queens, cheerleaders and more will liven up the crowd. It’s scheduled to step off at noon on Sunday, April 10. The marquee event is the parade along Ocean Drive. While last weekend was filled with educational and cultural events and exhibitions, this weekend will look a lot more like what you’d expect from a massive party in Miami Beach. Miami Beach Pride is a 10-day affair stretching over two weekends.
